You will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. | | Day 3 | Munich | MUNICH. Enjoy a tour of downtown Munich, seeing the Koenigsplatz, Old and New Pinakothek, the Isartor (city gate), the Royal Palace, the Angel of Freedom and Odeonsplatz. Next, view the Olympic Park, site of the 1972 Summer Olympics, and which, today, has become an attractive sports and leisure center.The platform on the Olympic Tower provides a superior view over the city of Munich. The afternoon is at leisure. (B) | | Day 4 | Salzburg | MUNICH / SALZBURG, AUSTRIA. This morning, transfer to the Munich train station for the trip to Salzburg. Upon arrival, make your way to your selected hotel just a few blocks away. The rest of the day is free to relax, shop or start exploring on your own. (B) | | Day 5 | Salzburg | SALZBURG A highlight today: enjoy a Salzburg & Sound of Music Tour. This half day tour combines Salzburg historic sights, the beautiful lakes and mountains, and many of the locations from the movie The Sound of Music. The afternoon is at leisure to continue exploring, shop, or sit back and relax in a cafe or restaurant. (B) | | Day 6 | Vienna | SALZBURG / VIENNA. This morning, make your way to the Salzburg train station for your trip to Vienna. The balance of the day is at leisure to begin exploring the City of Music on your own. (B) | | Day 7 | Vienna | VIENNA. Vienna has a rich and varied history. The 10th century marked her rise as a major trading center. Later, under the rule of the Habsburgs, Vienna was noted as a cultural capital. On your morning city tour, see the historic sights of Vienna. The highlight will be a visit to the show rooms of Schonbrunn Palace, the former summer residence of the Habsburg family. The tour ends by the Opera building, where your afternoon is free.
